Donald Trump. His treatment to refugees is truly degradable, with prejudicial views, stereotypical association and clear lack of understanding of the refugee problem in this world he has managed to yet again spark controversy and divide not only his nation but those nations around the world. The situation in Australia still remains the same with refugees detained in offshore detention camps of Nauru and Manus Island. We hope to change that today.
Yesterday we launched our own petition which you can support here
This petition – if successful – may land in the right hands and may enforce the change that thousands of people deserve. For too long have we locked refugees within detention centres where they are treated poorly and according to the Guardian suffer abuse. If we are able to change this then we may be able to welcome all these people into Australia and show the generosity and compassion that is instilled within so many of us.
Sticking with the topic of refugees on Nauru and Manus Island, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has tried to send refugees into America (approx 1250) to which President Trump has responded with hostility. He wants nothing to do with any foreigner and is likely to turn away any refugees that travelled to seek asylum in his own country.
We need to step up and help our own refugees instead of continuing to neglect them. We hope that you can support us through this petition:
If you have any suggestions on what we could further do we would love to hear what you have to say and you can contact us through our Contact page. Want to read more From Earth To Man articles? Simply click below to read any!
